Jason Graham, Executive Director

At the age of 14, I traveled to Cordoba, Argentina to start my year as a Rotary Club exchange student. In flight, I sat next to an elderly woman who advised me, “if you’re not interested, you’re not interesting!” These wise words started me on a path of exploration throughout the Americas and the world.

After my high school year in Argentina, I spent university semesters in Fortaleza, Brazil and San Jose, Costa Rica. After graduating from Tufts University, I worked at Youth For Understanding International Exchange, preparing students to study abroad. I completed a Masters degree in Public Affairs and Non-profit Management at the University of Washington, where I also managed the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program for visiting foreign scholars.

For 11 years at World Leaders Travel (formerly High Country Passage), I developed, operated and led scores of educational trips for non-profit organizations such as the American Museum of Natural History, California Academy of Sciences, Harvard Alumni Association, National Geographic Expeditions, Smithsonian Journeys, Stanford Travel/Study and World Affairs Council. I was responsible for the World Leaders Symposium series, developing and managing an intense educational program led by former dignitaries such as Madeleine Albright, James Baker, George H.W. Bush, Mikhail Gorbachev, and William Perry.

At Forum of the Americas, we are dedicated to sparking the interest and building understanding between the peoples of Latin America and North America. Whether you’re a high school sophomore or a Foreign Minister, you will be in good hands with Forum of the Americas.

“Jason delivered a stellar World Leaders Symposium travel series in Europe, Asia and the Middle East - whether developing an unparalleled 40-lecture educational program on international affairs, liaising with Secret Service to ensure presidential protection in Beijing, or managing cross-cultural protocols at VIP gala events in the Middle East - you could count on Jason to take care of every detail to make these programs big successes.

“Jason worked on scores of AMNH Expeditions’ trips throughout Latin America, including ten trips to Cuba. These trips featured Cuba’s ecology and strengthened the American Museum of Natural History’s relationship with the Museum of Natural History in Havana. Jason skillfully managed the U.S. travel licensing requirements and the quirks of Cuban infrastructure to ensure that Museum participants learned and experienced as much as possible during their educational trip to Cuba.”

“Jason took great care of our travelers and worked hard with our professors to build trips that accurately reflected the educational themes of their lectures.”

- Brett S. Thompson, Director of Stanford Travel/Study

“Jason was a key player responsible for the success of the World Leaders Symposium series. As Director of World Leader Programs, he expertly juggled the development of the educational excursions, the handling of our keynote speakers such as Madeleine Albright, James Baker and George H.W. Bush, and the professional management of every aspect of each symposium from start to finish.”
